I took this photo last month about an hour outside of Paris in France. I went to this spot looking for barn owls and stumbled on this guy, which was a hell of a treat! I did see the barn owls in the end but it was too dark to take a decent shot without a tripod. They were super close too, one flew over my head making a ghostly rolling screech. It was magical.
I also heard a tawny owl nearby! Not sure what it is about that particular village but owls seem to be major fans. I'll definitely be heading back!

Sounds like you found a good spot! Congrats on the sightings, and hopefully we'll see some more pics in the future form you!
There must be a good amount of food if they're all able to peacefully share the space.

Oh I'll definitely be back with more photos, especially of the barn owls. They're nesting in a church and the village is making sure they're comfortable there. I think that helps but I think they also like the area because there are organic farms nearby. Great place for rodents!

Very nice. Hopefully no rodenticides as well. Not sure what the legality of them is there.
I've been on a Barn Owl kick lately, so I look forward to seeing them!
