They did a pretty good job naming this one. Not just the Aussie's biggest owl, it takes unusually large prey for a bird. Most raptors limit themselves to prey >= 15-20% of their own weight, but Powerful Owls regularly snack on things 50-100% of their weight. They're the Costco shoppers of the owl world, getting that food in bulk!
