Pork chop with applesauce and onions.

Cook the pork and set aside. Add onions and deglaze with 375ml salt free stock (homemade). Reduce to just barely coating the pan, add apple sauce (homemade). Serve with a starch (sourdough (homemade))

Cost per person: $1.60 because the apples and turkey for the stock were all free a while back and I canned them all up.

That's the sort of combination that may not be the most aesthetically pleasing... But it sure is delicious.

Apples and onions together are delicious. In a way, it's sort of a shame that they both look so boring once they start to caramelize.
