Cheese tea biscuits

I had it with tomato soup last night. :)

Recipe:

Preheat oven to 425°F.

Mix 4 cups flour

8 tsp baking powder

2 tsp salt

Cut in 1 cup butter or shortening.

Add 2 cups of milk

Mix and stir to form a dough.

Add 1 to 2 cups of grated cheese.

Knead it about 8 to 10x.

Line baking sheet with parchment paper.

Drop balls of dough on baking sheet. You can also roll it or pat it and cut it. I just drop it with a spoon.

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes. It should make about 38 tea biscuits.

They’re kind of similar to scones, but lighter and looser. They’re often quite crumbly but with this recipe having a cup of butter they’ll be nice and moist.
