I was immensely gratified to impale that motherfucker the very first time I saw him. I tried and failed quite a few times trying to get to him, in particular his stupid gank squad before the battle, but now he's dead and he can stay that way.
Oh yes. I beat the whole game with it. In between I tried to switch a few times, but the muscle memory was already so attuned to it, that I switched back after one or two deaths.

They really nailed a lot of my experience. When I heard Shakras singing I was always elated. But then there was bilewater....

I ignored it for quite a while even after I had the means to get up there, because I flat out forgot about it.
I haven't yet seen or discovered a way to sequence break up there. Maybe it's possible, but if so I'll be damned if I know how.

The wanderer crest really is the best investment for platforming. All of the muscle memory from hollow knight just transfers over
