I've always been introverted and shy, but working in retail in a customer facing role has really improved my ability to talk to strangers and make conversation. Yesterday at work, like 90% of customers I served were lovely. I've learned to sometimes enjoy talking to people. Although my social battery is still pretty short and I need time alone to recharge.
The point I'm making is that if you're introverted and happy with that, then that's good. If you're introverted but aren't happy about it and would really like to meet new people, you can do it. It's not a hopeless situation.
I haven't hung out with anyone outside of a family gathering in years. I'm most comfortable at home alone. Thought I might eventually get lonely but so far hasnt happened.

An introvert would never say that
