The sets and panoramas look neat ... but it looks and sounds a lot like the personal drama, soap opera, high school politics of Discovery
TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY all had the common theme that they wanted to tackle epic storylines involving civilizations, grand politics, war, social problems, societal issues and held a mirror to our current civilization.
These modern Trek iterations seem to be just basic soap opera dramas surrounding individual characters, which can be interesting but it seems to fly in the Roddenberry tradition of using the medium to ask important questions about our current society.
For real, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage of The O.C. back in the day were seriously rumored to be developing this show. I bring it up because The O.C. famously had a lot of people involved in cast and production whom were from Trek before and after their time on The O.C.

Please don’t say that.

"The uploader has not made this video available in your country" -- fuck you Paramount, but OK, I have VPN.
I'll give it a shot. I just pray that other than a few characters in common, it won't have anything to do with Discovery.

I'd rather not have it premier at all. Good gods what cringe that is.

Not Kyle Gass, but Michael Keenan. Though that would've been cool.

Not my first time, actually. Like to keep a few in mind when the opportunity arises.

What about this? A tribe of asparagus children, but they're self-conscious about the way their pee smells.
