Hello everyone!

The bot stopped working two weeks ago, and I only now noticed thanks to a mention by @mmmm@sopuli.xyz. Thanks, fellow sopuli.xyz user! It is now fixed, and will now function in catch-up mode, posting every 12 hours until the dates again match.

If any of you notice a delay of more than about 24h in strips, please leave a comment on the latest strip with a mention. That way, I'll get a notification aside from me just not seeing the strips in my feed.

I fully intend to have the bot running on my hardware indefinitely, and will announce it if that changes.

Glad to help, but even more glad that this keeps going (fortunately not a copyright strike thing whatsoever!) and you're doing the good deed. Thank you

Last time this happened it was because gocomics started slowly re-doing their website. Each change breaking the bot.

It had finally been stable for so long that I though the game of whack-a-mole was over.

If it happens again, I might look into building a local index of strips, so the bot can be entirely self-contained, without relying on something else to get the right comic for a given date.

Ah, so this was what was missing.

Thanks for your bot and work. It really blended with my daily routine.

A disturbance was felt across the fediverse. But as balance was restored, a wave of relief washed over the users of threadiverse platforms.

You had us worried. Great to have it back!

I would have noticed sooner or later, but a mention my way will have me looking into it sooner next time.
