So I've already got a replacement tank that I'm waiting on to come but I'd like to know if there's any tips to properly handle a filled water tank for the Breville Barista Express so I don't end up accidentally dropping snd damaging the replacement one in the future

What? Of course dropping something might be bad for it? Just use safe handling practices for anything sensitive.
Otherwise, just follow what the manual says. Keep your filter fresh-ish and/or use filtered water, and don't drop it on the floor?
I always refilled mine (of a slightly different model) in place from a filtered pitcher, partially so I didn't have to move the tank itself.
