Washed and hand waxed the car today

Two months ago we got a "new" car and decided that this time we were going to actually take care of it. Proud of the work today, looks great and hopefully the wax helps with the winter weather.

What are the benefits of waxing? Other than making it look pretty

Lower friction. Dirt/snow slides off it, and car go faster

The hair doesn’t grow back as fast and no stubble.

Like the other commenter said, it should help prevent dirt/snow from sticking to the surface. Not sure about the "car go faster" part though

Top tip: use good glass cleaner before waxing all of the glass too. Rain will slide off much faster.

Thanks, will try that in the spring!

Ceramic coating too much for this community.

My god, you've maxed "dull" for me today.

Fixed the rear brake pads on my 2004 F150 today. Chunks of mud and grime were falling off. You can extrapolate how the rest of the vehicle looks like.

Know why I love the Millennium Falcon? Looks like dog shit, runs.
