Chinese posters have mainly Asian people. As expected. Arab posters have mostly Arab people depicted. Indian -- with Indians, and African countries tend to draw African people.
But American is asking "Why German posters from the middle of XX century have mainly white people?" That's the mystery that I won't be able to explain to a common American.
No ones surprised the German poster has German people. Its the American poster portraying a single demographic that is actually the minority in major US urban centers like New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Miami, Dallas, Atlanta and Orlando that sticks out.
I don't think any of us were asking why the German posters are the way they are. We are perfectly aware of why. No need to rush to the defense of Nazi propaganda my guy.
with the difference that the united states have substantial amounts of non-white population, which are not portrayed at all. At least half of those posters should portrait people of color to be representative.
All white men and two very subordinated white women. This administration is literally kidnapping brown people with secret police All of the civil rights struggles since the 50’s are relevant so yes this is Nazi shit from a Nazi administration
Just to make you more depressed

Being anti fascist might soon be a crime. Not tTrump saying it is but declaring anything anti fascist as a foreign terrorist organization giving the law the teeth it needs for crack downs.
I went through their Facebook page the other day. Other than pictures of the Secretary of DoL they haven't posted a minority since this administration took office. It's all white all the time.
It's calling back to the 1950s era nostalgia that is currently big on the right. That style is not far removed from the constraints and style of 1930s-40s Germany.
While I'm no art historian, isn't this the same art style found in regionalism or social realism like Norman Rockwell or posters from that time?
Similar art styles likely existed around the world during that period.
What in this art style distinctly belongs to Nazi Germany & does that distinct variant have a name?
I'm not art historian or critic either, but this Rockwell painting depicts especially the central figure as more... Dirty, in a realistic way if a guy just going about his day, compared to the perfect manicured white male models who have never worked in the AI fascism slop.

Only half the US population is white. 20% are hispanic.
Every single one of those posters only shows white people.

You don't understand the purpose of the propaganda and ignore the idea that those American posters intend to represent.

The art direction is horribly incoherent on the left, they should have just owned it, slap the ssb on the Nazi flags and use the old artwork.
Evotech@lemmy.world · 15 pts · 314d
It's ai generated probably.
Likely trained on old nazi propaganda too

I apologize! I will try to make the images more coherent. Let me try creating new images. If you want, I can add a Hakenkreuz on them!

Unmistakeable piss filter on the left. Nobody who has used an entire pencil in their life would draw that shit.
