It's a two way street after all, being a doormat sucks. Try to establish boundaries, ask for help, and say no when you need to.

Is this a reference to that comic where a small dragon tries to... "take" one of these bollards? Because that comic gave me second-hand pain that I can still feel in my bones.
But I agree, it's important to establish boundaries and to enforce them, and that's something I sometimes struggle with, too, especially in the context of work (when they ask for overtime, extra shifts, extra work, that sort of stuff). Thank you for this very important PSA that you delivered with unmatched style :3

It's not, I've never heard of it before. However, that is the idea—it's far too much to handle, and it would hurt to do!
Also, thank you very much, I appreciate it!

I think that part of it is that people are so lonely that any connection is seen as good, even if said connection is rather toxic. Excellent work as always.

That, and also upbringing, like not necessarily even being aware of things being wrong or abusive. It's part of why it's important to talk about stuff like this, since it's easy to internalize and normalize things—especially as a first experience.
