Someone creased one of my cards last night, just kinda “pinched” it off the top of the deck while trying shuffle my deck like playing cards. Thankfully it was only a ~7 dollar card, but it was still frustrating.

That was rude of them.
I suppose that's one of the reasons why you have to shuffle your own deck and only let your opponent split it.
