For marking a property line. In most cases you don't need to physically keep people out, you just need to let them know where they shouldn't be.

That's why I like that some states allow purple paint markers every so often to act as a fence for means of trespass but with minimal impact for local plants and animals unlike actual fences.

B. No I mean legally we have it but it's hard to exercise in a practical manner. So technically we have it but in practice we effectively don't.

Words have meaning and I meant what I said. Ie. We don't need a new law we need to effectively enforce the ones we already have.

anyone is free to roam on my little land as well as as long as they stop in and say hi first.

The people I don't want back there wouldn't stop to say hi.
