Maldives permanently bans smoking for anyone born after 2006

We had this policy...then the current govt pulled it to give tax breaks to the already wealthy.

I wonder how effective this will wind up being. I would think it would be futile in most places, but in a small island nation like The Maldives I suppose it could work pretty well.

If I was born in 2007 in the Maldives I would start smoking immediately
