Yeah I agree, though I feel the vitriol is more about the moral implications of using AI (which I do agree with)
But I feel like I'm more likely to laugh at an AI meme than the same tired template I've been seeing for years. I swear meme culture has done permanent damage to society's ability to use their own words to communicate lol
Then again, a lot of people will watch the same sitcom on repeat. So maybe I'm just the weird one

I'm prepared to get roasted for this but....morality aside, at least AI memes make for "unique" jokes.
I can only laugh at the same joke so many times before it stops being funny and the joke remains exactly the same across most uses of any template

Personally, my bar for memes is if it makes me laugh. The amount of vitriol around it is a bit silly.
