How could it not be, haha. The biggest difference is that the hot mode puts a clean boost behind the dirt.

Just think, all those pedals for the price of one Boss pedal. That's got a 45 year old unchanged circuitry design, but has also gone up 200%+ in price over the years.

Indeed, I used to buy Boss pedals, but there are so many cheaper options these days with exactly the same circuit, and the quality is generally quite good these days.

Indistinguishable knock off Louis Vuitton bags are everywhere. I think it’s good that the brand who did the R&D is still around and it’s good that entry to those tones has been democratised with Chinese clones. There’s room for both as long as Boss gets the credit.

I'll take a stab at what these actually are.
I'm guessing Sonic is a tube screamer, shark is saw, rude is overdrive? And then you have a compressor.
