It is kind of ironical that when government here in India sort of mandated work from home and the companies wanted their employees back in office , they unionised and force the govt to make return to office laws , while crushing employee unions actively !

This doesn't stop them from shutting down locations for... "Poor sales" but it's a start.

Shutting down a non-unionised location is a win. Nobody should work in a non unionised location. Let them shut down. Over and over again and again.
Eventually a unionised competitor will take the market in that location.

I should have clarified, another union busting technique is shutting down stores that successfully unionized.

I know. A closed store doesn't make any money. Opening and closing stores every two years is not a sustainable business. They do it at a loss to send a signal, but they can't keep doing it.
