Probably didn’t help that the base model 17 has been widely reviewed as one of the best-value flagships on the market.
The Air is a step down in battery life, camera capability, and thermals, but costs more. I’m honestly not sure who it’s supposed to be for.

The air is supposed to be a sleek status symbol. It is form over function. It has premium materials and looks stunning.
People wo want stuff done and need more features than the base models should go with the pro.
The Air literally allowed them to make the pro model more chunky, more rugged and less flashy.

Yeah, that 17 Pro Max is fucking ugly. The orange color doesn’t help.
Good thing it’s also a really good phone to compensate.

I got the Air simply because of the titanium frame. I dont use a case, and don't care about the camera at all. My use case is very simple as well.
If either the Pro or non-Pro models had titanium I would have gotten one of those instead.

Yeah, the battery on an ultra-thin device is lower than the Pro Max but you ain’t bending that phone unless your ass is the fattest and heaviest in history.
