European drone recommendation

geteilt von: https://feddit.org/post/21790936

I am looking for an alternative to a DJI Mini 3. I would like to take photos and videos. Unfortunately, I haven't found a real alternative yet. Do you have any recommendations?

I hear that Ukraine is pretty good at making drones these days...

Yeah, but they mostly deliver to Russia.

Fpv drones, yeah, but things like dji ones not really (they aren't expendable in a similar way). But you or other people can make something similar pretty easy, but half of the components will be from china anyway.

Guess not for OP’s use case.

Just out of curiosity, would you guys consider a drone made from Chinese mechanical parts, motors and motor controllers, but with a European STMicroelectronics main controller, programmed and assembled in the EU to be European?

For me, no.

But oftentimes (e.g. with smartphones and other electronics), there is no alternative.

Parrot 🦜 is french and they should have something similar

I heard of Parrot, but their models start at 5.000 €. I'm all for paying more for a european model, but that's 10x of a DJI Mini 3. Then I'd rather not buy a drone at all.
