@signal I'm guessing you're not an official Signal account? If not, what's the best way to get feedback back to them?
https://signal.org/blog/polls/ says "but poll responses are not anonymous and anyone can see who has voted for which option in a poll."
That's anyone in the group chat who can see the poll, not actually anyone in the unrestricted sense, right? Right?
ETA: yes it is just people in the group chat. Message sent to signal through official channels. Thanks all!

Nah, more hoops are needed.

kind of reminds me of these people writing messages to google reviews clearly thinking they are talking to customer care... :D

@14th_cylon @ohlaph Some businesses do monitor their reviews, others don't. If you don't have a clear way to complain usefully, complain in public, it might help.

these are often not complains, but really requests that should be aimed at some helpline ("hello, do you sell x?" or "are you open on monday?") and these people just have trouble to differentiate the channel they are using.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but support@signal.org has worked for me in the past.

@david42
That's right. Everyone in the group where the poll is run has complete access to the poll results.

@gopal @signal Even your response doesn't clearly state that no one else can see the responses. I'm confident that's the case, but Signal should say so clearly.

@david42
I agree. This sentence in the blog is very badly written.
Specifically the word anyone make this very confusing. I've put a feedback in the signal forum. Hopefully they'll correct it.

@signal There remains a question of what happens if the group chat membership changes between when the poll is sent and when the response is sent. Presumably the response is sent to and can be decrypted by members as of when the response goes out. What does a new member, who missed the poll message, see?
