Damn I wish there was a line between 'hypothesis unsupported' and publish. Negative results are results too, and now someone else will try it and fail too. So much wasted time, but publishers...

Hypothesis supported -> publish results -> do a little dance -> make a little love -> get down tonight

That's the most cryptic description of the peer review process I've ever read.

Hypothesis seems supported -> Write a draft -> Get your hopes high -> Get fucked by reviewers discrediting your entire field -> Feel down after getting the paper out in 10th round of reviews in the the 5th journal you submitted to

And that's too much in brief, anyway
