See, I don't know about that. They'd have dome weight to them, and they are quite dense, so there might wouldn't be any breathable air even if you could eat a space in front of your mouth for a second before it filled in again. This is turning into a real nightmare scenario and it's making me kind of uncomfortable thinking this hard about it.

Diving into a giant pile of mashed potatoes and gravy would feel so fucking weird, and incredibly painful if they were still super hot.

Mashed potatoes have two canonical temperatures: lava and ice cold. Neither of which appeals to me if I'm literally diving in.
