They blew up the Records Office because thats who was able to verify the legitimacy (or lack there of) of said ID cards.

Ernst Röhm was gay, he was the founder of the SA, the paramilitary wing of the Nazi party. So, no, homosexuals are not more or less violent, they are just humans with all the good and bad that comes with humanity.
