Stumbled across "devify", which gives notifications when USB devices are plugged in/out. Nice for minimal window managers!

I'm using labwc at the moment and I was missing something like this. Next up is installing batsignal for battery notifications.

"udev-notify" seemed nicer, showing more info: Image of a popup with much info on a plugged in device.

But I couldn't get that to work...
