This map seems to be unrelated to the actual numbers that i found online, but i also have not found any good statistics for the whole world.

I hate that only a few people prop up 80% of lemmy by constantly adding content like its a job... its kinda sick. I personally absolutely hate it, but continue to torture my self because... well im not sure why.

I just really want to see federated social media become a viable alternative to the corporate-run sites, so whenever I see funny stuff anywhere that I think people will like, I save it to my "for lemmy" folder and trickle out a handful of memes every day. It looks like more work than it is, for what it's worth.
