Modern Hot Wheels are being accurate. Cars now have plastic undercarriage covers.

*Some cars now have various undercarriage covers. But the corvette in this image doesn’t have that undercarriage.

I end up tearing it off my cars because it annoys me

You're likely losing cooling and fuel efficiency.

Last time this image was posted I said something similar and got downvoted 🙃

Edit: Oh wait, my comment IS there in the crosspost and there's only 2 downvotes. I somehow remembered more...

I can give you more if you'd like, but I agree with you

Men buy Matchbox.

taiyang@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 259d

Hell yes, was gonna comment the same. For like a dollar that are weirdly true to life, even if it's like a fucking '94 Honda Civic or some other tan color 80s or 90s sedan, lol.

I know it's linking to That Site, but this is not universally true: https://www.reddit.com/r/HotWheels/comments/1h0ir1p/got_sick_of_seeing_that_losing_details_pic_going/

Many of the original G1 Transformers, GoBots an other car based toys of that era also had metal parts. Die cast toys were awesome.

Is THAT a Supra?

abfarid@startrek.website · 3 pts · 259d

Potentially a hot take:
Supra Mk4 looks terrible, especially in comparison to Mk3, which is amazing.

I grew up with Majorette as the gold standard. Over here Hotwheels came much later and they looked too weird.

The metal Matchbox cars are all fun and games until your friends little brother shows up and hits you the head with them while you're on the swing set outside and you head starts bleeding

Semi-related, is your username in reference to a Ranger?

SonicBlue03@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 258d

It is.
