This is awful. People with hepatitis suffer immensely. Any competent person at the CDC must be crying at their seat after this incredibly idiotic decision.

"Without evidence" is this administration's tag line.

Of there's plenty of evidence, of some things that should matter in a court of law.

oh this is exactly what's wrong with our vaccine politics - evidence-based decisions being replaced by ideology and fear-mongering I think

The argument MAHA people make is that these vaccines are not mandatory in Europe, with the exception of Bulgaria(if I remember right), so why does the US require it?

I am not an infectious diseases specialist, nor a public health person, but I suspect that has something to do with socialized medicine control and ability to contain outbreaks much easier in smaller countries

In Norway all vaccinations are voluntary. Since almost everyone chooses to get all of the important ones, they don't have to make it mandatory. It's also free. I wondered why it is not mandatory, but the main reasoning is that it is not necessary and it would be an attack on the individual freedom. So it is easy to give people the option when it does not matter, because of herd immunity.
