@nostupidquestions Was there a Bayesian rationalist cult on Twitter (pre-Musk - I haven't visited Twitter after covid)?
Bayesian methods don't seem to be as widely relevant as people like them would like us to believe, from what I've seen from AI papers.

Being rational is oppositional to being a cult, as it's constantly trying to get you to question everything, including itself, and dismiss it if it doesn't stand up.

@TheLeadenSea doesn't answer my question though, since one can label themselves contradictory to how others label oneself, and so this remains linguistically consistent and the question remains sound.

@Nemo @Reshirams_Rad_Slam Yep, Yudkowski and his clique are essentially a cult. Their offshoot group, the Zizians, certainly were one.
