Is this AI slop?

Nurse_Robot@lemmy.world · 33 pts · 254d

I think, for the most part, we're at a point where if your gut tells you something is off, it's almost always AI. I don't know how long this will last though, AI is getting better at the speed of light. It's deeply concerning

I don’t think so, primarily because of the reversed title on the desk. That would be pretty hard for it to calculate as a detail.

BackgrndNoize@lemmy.world · 26 pts · 254d (1 reply)

Yeah perhaps, it's just the guy falling off the chair that looks the most fake to me

hemko@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 18 pts · 254d

Yeah I think comedy is more likely than AI here. The falling doesn't look "weird", it looks faked

Spezi@feddit.org · 8 pts · 254d

It’s definitly Sora 2 generated. If you compare these two frames you can see that the reflection of the Crime Watch Update changes position in the reflected part while still beeing at the same position on the screen. It’s also reflected twice in the second pic.

Also the fall in the end looks physically wrong. Thats where Sora 2 always falls apart, it doesn’t have a real sense of gravity towards the end. If you look at all the fake crash videos, they always look fake towards the end. Same thing applies here.

I thought the same, but it’s definitely Sora-generated

Wild. I guess with enough data.

I would wager comedy show as a good guess based on the other commentor’s observation, but could be AI.

Tai@mander.xyz · 2 pts · 254d (1 reply)

Why would that show up in a real news clip though? Those banners aren't really there on the set to cause a reflection, they're added in digitally.

Fandangalo@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 254d

Could be a blooper, prank, or comedy show. Someone also posted AI examples that are close too.

The guy continues smiling while talking in the back half even though his mouth isn't moving

meekah@discuss.tchncs.de · 2 pts · 253d

To be fair, you can say what hes saying there while grinning pretty easily

Zorcron@piefed.zip · 7 pts · 254d (2 replies)

Yeah, a pretty common prompt it looks like. I gotta be more on the lookout for this crap.

Probably based on this real video from years ago:

Yup I knew it, scary thing is this is the early days of AI, what happens when it becomes refined to the point of being indistinguishable. God I hope this AI trend implodes, there's no positive outcome for the working class from it

Zorcron@piefed.zip · 2 pts · 254d

Yeah I really hope we figure out some metadata, chain of custody, or something cool like this structured lighting idea to clearly identify real and fake images and video soon.

Was thinking the same
