When you get carried away with the corn

This is the first thing I thought of when the corn memes started.

Reeeally hope those were dentures... otherwise, ow.

ininewcrow@lemmy.ca · 48 pts · 248d

I don't know ... but I think they are now

Rakonat@lemmy.world · 20 pts · 248d

The lack of blood spraying out makes me thing so. Source: Been around a few people that lost teeth from impact. Gushed like a fountain.

Duamerthrax@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 247d

Or just staged.

AceFuzzLord@lemmy.zip · 48 pts · 248d (4 replies)

I've seen some genuinely funny stuff from the Chinese internet, but that just looms like it hurts.

Sure. Let's go with that.

Loom here buddy ... that's a typo and you know it

stringere@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 247d

Dunno what you're on about. Looms ok to me.

I hate it when these things come true. The Among Us one still makes me uncomfortable in an existential way.

JackbyDev@programming.dev · 2 pts · 247d (4 replies)

Which one?

Ganbat@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 247d (3 replies)

The one that was just a bunch of random squares. A few years later, boom, they looked like crewmates.

JackbyDev@programming.dev · 1 pts · 247d

Oh, I don't remember that one, but I could see it. The Among Us "shape" shows up a lot in things.

Homestar Runner was the first astronaut in the Among Us lore.

habs@lemmy.sdf.org · 1 pts · 247d (1 reply)

If you're referring to this one, sadly it's fake. I don't think anyone ever really predicted amongus before it took off

Ganbat@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 2 pts · 247d

Aw damn, I could've sworn I saw it as a meme on its own. Ah well, guess I just misremembered. Thanks.

purplemonkeymad@programming.dev · 2 pts · 248d (2 replies)

So is now the future in that meme?

ininewcrow@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 248d

No not yet but soon

moonshadow@slrpnk.net · 2 pts · 248d

Almost

rasmundus@lemmynsfw.com · 24 pts · 248d (2 replies)

Should have used Thompson's Teeth.

watson@lemmy.world · 21 pts · 248d

Teeth strong enough to eat other teeth!

HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 248d

Torgo's Executive Tooth Powder

tamal3@lemmy.world · 17 pts · 247d

Nsfw this please

Sarcasmo@piefed.social · 11 pts · 248d (1 reply)

Those Huskvarnas are powerful.

Mirshe@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 248d

This is why you do not put bits you would like to keep attached anywhere near a powered rotating spindle.

Shamber@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 248d (4 replies)

Sorry guys, guess I'm late for the party, but what's the deal with the corn related posts today?

surewhynotlem@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 247d (3 replies)

Today? Well you see, there was a lot of corn yesterday and it's still going.

Shamber@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 247d (2 replies)

Any particular reason though? Or it just snowballed?

surewhynotlem@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 247d (1 reply)

From what I've seen, it's like the beans. It'd been a while since we had some ridiculous/fun trend.

I still haven't found what started it though.

Vupware@lemmy.zip · 3 pts · 247d

God said: too much politics, corn instead” and we followed his divine teachings.

SendMePhotos@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 248d (6 replies)

What's the audio like?

ininewcrow@lemmy.ca · 34 pts · 248d

whhhhhirrlllllllll .... plink, plink ...... AHH, MY TEETH (in some Asian language)

over_clox@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 248d (4 replies)

As much as I hate artificial intelligence, I think it would be funny as hell if someone could throw this through an AI model and ask it to generate sounds for what it sees...

HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world · 16 pts · 248d (3 replies)

Nah, Foley art is being lost. Do it by hand!

SendMePhotos@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 248d (2 replies)

Here's a beginner Foley artist: https://youtu.be/dJnwa9xvqMg

HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 247d (1 reply)

Damn, either tools and public sound libraries have gotten a hell of a lot better since I last looked, or "beginner" does that artist a disservice

SendMePhotos@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 247d

I guess by that time, they had some experience. This one is the same channel but 16 years ago https://youtu.be/maYNCjaDkio
