The Mastermind Box Cover: What the Hell Were They Thinking?

I used to have that game. It's a good one. As the article infers, the cover fits perfectly.

I had this game with this box. Seems to fit. It's a thinking game.

I figured out what was going on when Wordle became popular and people started sharing their results simply because the results mimicked the Mastermind reveal clues, although I would try to not place the reveal clues in order in Mastermind just to make it harder.

I remember this well. The only thing missing from the box is a white Persian cat on the supervillain’s lap.

My parents still have the one that's on the left in the picture.
