Anti-vegans and Carnivores are paid activists!

Is this seriously what you have decided is true? One saying they are doesn't mean everyone else is too. The VAST majority are just shitty people of all ages.

They're sowing division and confusion. I think most people are too busy and unaware to properly consider the topic of veganism.

Can't watch a 15 minute video now but I skimmed through it and saw reddit posts. Is that the source? Reddit posts?

jol@discuss.tchncs.de · 2 pts · 253d (6 replies)

Yes. And it's been debunked as probably fake AMA. There's little doubt that reddit is full of paid actors, spechially for industries like animal ag. But the post itself was fake and had several inconsistencies.

Do you have a source on it being debunked?

glimse@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 253d (4 replies)

Thanks, I'll pass on the video then lol

A news outlet reported on the post so I disagree with Jol.

Tbf, news outlets report on whatever slop comes out of Reddit these days because it's easier than doing actual journalism.

glimse@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 253d

Do they investigate beyond the reddit post and confirm the information?

jol@discuss.tchncs.de · 1 pts · 253d

If the source was still just the reddit post, how is that any more credible? I'll try to find the video essay breaking it down.
