there's still plenty of firefox forks you can use that won't go this ai route or will simply turn it off by default. Librewolf, mullvad, zen, floorp, etc.
if you want to go the chrome route there's vivaldi although for whatever reason lately it doesn't save anything when i'm using it on nixos and it's kind of an ugly bloated mess now.
I use Qutebrowser so I have none of the issues from either.
Or maybe I'm just tired of every thread being filled with AI complaints. I'm not taking sides, I'm just tired of the constant complaining.
But if you all want to keep wasting your time and energy bitching about this shit on fucking Lemmy of all places, you do you. I'm sure it's helping....someone.
I should've know better, complaining about complainers never helps. I'll go back to using Lemmy less and less cause I'm tired of all you miserable twats.

My biggest problem with these forks is they’re still reliant on Firefox itself.
I feel like we need a clean break.
