Is there a Twitter alternative in the Fediverse where you can sort your timeline?

I've tried Mastodon and Sharkey, but both have the problem that the chronological display prioritizes quantity over quality. Interesting posts disappear in the noise of mediocrity. I'm looking for a feature that shows me the best posts of the day/last hour, etc., similar to Lemmy.

Even better would be an open sorting algorithm like Loops or one where I can set the weighting of posts myself.

Or perhaps there is an app that can do this?

Mbin federates with Mastodon & co and allows to sort microblog posts like on Lemmy.

@Aequitas There is a frontend for your Mastodon account you can use to view your timeline in very different ways https://phanpy.social/

There is fedialgo which is a customizable algorithm for mastodon. However I don't know of any full clients that implement this. They do have a demo at https://fedialgo.thms.uk/ if you want to play around with the weights.

There is also Foryoufeed which is very similar. It can be used at https://foryoufeed.vercel.app/login

Not in the timeline, but trending posts could be what you're looking for.

E.g. https://mastodon.social/explore

Thanks, yes, that's helpful. Although not exactly what I'm looking for :)
