Inflation Accounting exists to ensure that financial statements are accurate, and they are especially useful in high-inflation environments like Turkey.

What we are seeing here is similar to what we could expect in the US if the Fed looses its independence to the Presidency, and this is bad because simply refusing to acknowledge ongoing inflation does nothing to bring it under control. If anything, it will actually make it worse.
