Real Xmas movie has no ghosts showing up because there is no force in the universe that actually cares and the rich surround themselves with yes men who would never call them out. It's more just the comfy bed thing.
A real Christmas movie would reveal that Tiny Tim's condition is completely treatable, but just out of reach of Bob Cratchit's salary, despite his repeated (denied) requests for a raise. So Scrooge is visited in the middle of the night by three Bobs with baseball bats.
Like the "lost ending" to its a wonderful life they created on SNL where they figure out Mr. Potter stole the money and the whole town goes and beats him up
