Well...in my defense, I was tired xD
On the other hand this feels like a perfect representation. I could not have put that feeling of new year in 1000 words. So I guess that makes it a 11/10 entry for me.
And I think I can safely say, that perfectionism is not holding me back :)

I forgive you for not using an ISO date like 2026-01-01 and for the stain at the bottom in the date.

ISO date all the way for digital as filenames and such. But on paper, especially when I'm writing German, it just feels wrong :D

May I at least preach about the good word of always using 4-digit years?
zitronenschnitte@feddit.org · 2 pts · 241d
You may. But I do not promise to listen.
But if it makes you feel better, when I sign a document, I put the year as 4-digit. But personally, I tend to just do the 2-digits. (And without leading 0 for day/month. But that varies)

It does make me feel better, many thanks.
Feel free to do as you please in the privacy of your own notes haha

Worry not. Yesterday, I had to cross the same three letters word three times... before I decided maybe it would be wiser to use a completely different and longer word... for which I had not enough space left on the line. As we say in French Quand ça veut pas, ça veut pas ;)
as for ink stains, I keep a sheet of blotter paper (if that's the name?) nearby. I seldom use it but i'm happy I have it when I realize the pen was wetter than usual and the ink is slow to dry.

Oh I feel you. Sometimes I even cross out a sentence just to write exactly the same again. But honestly, I love crossing things out. It makes the progress visible. (Especially in contrast to say digital. Deleting something you are not happy with, leaves you with an empty page again. You might just end up with 1-2 sentences written. But the same as notes/draft on paper: You still see the things you did not keep but helped you to get to the result.)
Oh, bonus french lesson. Merci!
And regarding the stain...that was my hand moving over still wet ink I thought was dry. So that was really just me not being careful. But it really just brings it all together in this case. It's a total mess, but it is my mess and it makes me smile when I see it :)

So much this! Mistakes, like stains, and crossed words/sentences are a legit part of my journal :)
