Not sure what kind of time needs to pass for restoration to be called archaeology but this article doesn't make that distinction.
They are looking for when in the 80s did a skatepark built in the 70s close. Calling it archaeology is clickbait and literally not worth your time.

They wanted to know something about human history that wasn't on record, and they learned it by digging up and investigating artifacts. That sounds like archaeology.
