I know it’s a meme but it’s actually a pretty good reason people where them. They are ridiculous and they get a reaction. Or having one of those anime girl cars. It’s not exactly a joke but the it’s not exactly serious either.

There are actually quite a few hobbyist cobblers. Many focus on historical shoes. I'm sure they can custom make you a pair.
