An investigation by America 2.0 has revealed that Vladimir Putin has been attempting to influence Donald Trump to seize both Venezuela and Greenland since at least 2017. The effort, rooted in Putin's ambitions in Ukraine, hinged on American embrace of the Monroe Doctrine, the 1823 policy framework that focused American influence within the Western Hemisphere.

Russia isn't in charge of what happens on its Ukrainian border or within the Black Sea, what gives anyone the idea that they could determine the course of events a whole hemisphere away?
Also, Putin has been making all these performative shows of solidarity with Maduro leading up to the invasion. Not that it did Maduro any good once shit got real. I don't think he would do that if Trump invading and highlighting his impotence was part of the goal.
The Greenland thing, I can definitely believe, certainly there is no other reason for Trump to care about Greenland in any capacity other than that Putin put the idea in his head to fuck with NATO, which is working. That stuff, Putin's good at.
