She looks like she would have been considered an attractive woman in her day. Looking at it through a modern lens though, the hair, outfits, and serious expressions make everyone look worse than they would with a modern day glow up and instant cameras that don't require sitting still lol

Yeah normally in these older photos no one looks attractive but even with all the things you mentioned against her she's looking pretty good.
Turns out when he proposed his theory of everyone being attracted their mum he actually meant his mum.
