Both Schumer and Jeffries have been lame ducks almost as soon as this session started.
The strength of the neoliberal wing was always that they controlled the DNC, and if you went against them theyd cut your state off from the party.
And it worked because they showed over and again they'd rather have a Republican than a Dem who wouldn't fall in line.
But right after the leadership elections for this session, the DNC pivoted hard left and the resulting chair has been throwing money at every state party at record rates, with extra going to states without a lot of Dems in office because that's where we can gain
We need to keep the pressure up, but also understand why current leadership sucks and when it'll get fixed.
The more progressives we elect in midterms, the further left the next leaders will be.

Its time for the Democrat party to fall to the wayside - the people and organization itself is unsalvageable and does not represent the people they claim to represent. This was abundantly clear with the reactions to Mandani - immediate distancing from really standard policies and positions because he wasn't part of the "in" crowd.
They don't care about wealth inequality, social welfare policies, gender, sexual orientation race, and religious equality, or any other baseline remotely progressive, left, or even liberal policy.

If some Panama papers type thing came out and showed they were paid opposition I'd actually breathe a sigh of relief because at least then I'd know why they were so god damned useless.
