The Reddit exodus caused by this regrettable API policy change that kills 3rd party apps, has left many of us without the subs we grew to love. r/espresso is one of these subs for me, but it wasn't on Lemmy. I created this community in the hopes that we'll get a Lemmy c/espresso going strong.
I'll get the ball rolling with a Moss Original haha. I haven't been able to pull my morning shots the past few mornings, but I'll either post tomorrow's morning shot (hopefully) or my afternoon espresso macchiato.
Here's for a new beginning to an old community!

There was a sub for fountain pens??? All this time!
FOSS, homelab and self hosting, networking, some programming subs, espresso (of course) and coffee, PineTime, calyxos, rpi, Linux, memes and wholesome memes, a couple others I can't remember.
Edit: the fountain pen part of the comment sounds sarcastic, but I was serious. I love fountain pens, and it didn't even dawn on me to search for a sub. I would just search articles and images and YouTube videos on fountain pen reviews and the like.

It was one of the first communities I joined on Reddit, so, naturally, I needed it here, too haha
I love espresso, too. Mmmmm Definitely not a Hoffmann, but I am gaining knowledge, a lot of which is due to the original sub. I'm hoping we can mktrortthe community knowledge here, too.

This looks tasty! I have to admit that I am not an espresso guy. I have had a few in my years but do not stalk Starbucks. Coffee black or with 2 creams and 2 sugars for me please. Although if I did have an espresso maker I probably would use it on the weekends.

Personally, I don't actually like Starbucks. It tastes too burnt to me. I do see how people like it, though, so I'm definitely not hating. It's just not for me. If I'm not drinking eapressos, I do black.
I started with a Mr. Coffee espresso / cappuccino machine like, a decade ago. I got it as a gift and I only used it on the weekends. Then I was gifted a bag of Larry's Beans coffee and realized that coffee is actually delicious on its own.
