The futuristic Night City seems like an ideal environment to explore using a VR headset. Sadly, there is no official support for the devices, and CD Projekt Red has now issued a DMCA takedown for a Cyberpunk 2077 VR mod. Its author believes he deserved to profit from the paywalled creation.

CDPR is extremely lax with modders. Reading the article, looks like the culprit is the fact that it’s paywalled
I’m not against modders earning something for their work, but it should be through donations imo
