It's disheartening that the other half thinks otherwise

Hey we can be on drugs and think he's a piece of shit.
sopularity_fax@sopuli.xyz · 17 pts · 225d
Lets not be hurtful and drag drugs into this. The kind of stupid that believes him is a whole 'nother level of intoxication that requires no drugs
Its hate and desperately believing Trump/Republicans are "Santa"

I follow a devout Christian woman on Facebook who is tangentially acquainted to me, and she believes that Communist Muslims are dressing up as Verizon workers and planting bombs or something all over the country to cause a worse disaster than 9/11. This is being signal boosted by disgraced general Michael Flynn and conservative influencers.
Of course, it’s not real; so when it never happens they will just praise LORD and SAVIOR Donald Trump for stopping these evil Democrats.
Old people really cannot believe that anyone would just lie like that. They really just fall for whatever they’re told.

It needs to be illegal.

It’s hard to make a “you are required to be truthful” law without it being the sharpest double-edged sword possible. But I agree, there should be consequences. peepoSmile

Like they have a basically reactionary and anti-principl'd polar opppsite propoganda media environment that is insular and creating an anti-reality political over all hellscape thats radicalizing traumatized and deeply damaged and often deranged Volks.

Wait, which half is that
ikidd@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 224d
That other 35% has been facebooked into believing everything the orange shithead says is true.
DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world · 39 pts · 225d
Yes, Trump still has at least 35% of Americans duped on every subject. We know.
These ones that say "half" are especially useless. Don't even bother publishing if it's less than 3/4 should be the rule. And, don't pay much attention if it's less than 85%, because we got here with only half, and nothing has changed with only 65%.

there are cities under siege, but sure, economy

You're not wrong but this is also very bad.

The fastest way to get someone to care about something is when it effects their pocketbook.

You need to get a mortgage to buy a happy meal and half of America still thinks nothing has changed?
cosmicrookie@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 225d
It's the half that still hopes it can become millionaires in their lifetimes

The country is the way it is because right at about half of it is rock stupid. A third of it is actually incapable of independent thought.
MJKee9@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 225d
Not necessarily. There is likely a percentage that had no opinion or did not answer.
lostdignity@lemmy.zip · 4 pts · 225d
The other half voted for him. Nothing changed.
DarkFuture@lemmy.world · 0 pts · 225d
For not being in a pandemic, yeah, it's pretty bad. And getting worse.
This is what happens when you vote for the party that all data tracked over time proves is bad for our economy.
Or don't vote. Or vote for insert candidate that can't win. Since doing those things helps Republicans win.
