Sorry, why did nobody tell me that 'Fallout but trucking', [Dustland Delivery], exists and is about to come to consoles after a year of 88% positive reviews on Steam?

This is a very good game, I've played for a few hours and I've been meaning to get back into it.

The first video on the Steam page makes it look similar to Oregon Trail, but sort of Fallout/Mad Max kinda way. That about right?

It's quite trading heavy, and less rougelike. I would call it a "trucker trader post apocalypse rpg". Very open ended aswell

It's fundamentally a trading business sim as bigboissmith mentioned. That being said, there is a lot of other things going on.

Great game to sink some hours into. Had a blast with it

Fantastic game that puts you in the shoes of a cross country merchant driving a big rig to towns recovering from the wastes. Let's you know what Furiosa felt like as a driver and convoy leader. Combat isn't great but it isn't the point of the game. Building a new town and becoming a beacon of hope is a simple but fun story.
