Thanks. I never leave edges unfinished and burnishing such floppy leather was impossible. So I folded and stitched. I like the cream thread on the leather anyways. Same with the handles.
Thanks! Yes the bottom is flat. I’ll include a pic of the pattern but it’s hard to explain. Look on YouTube for tote bag videos. There are a bunch. I watched one and then made the pattern. It’s very easy and quick to do because no edge work is necessary apart from the ends of the straps.

Oh, that is an easy pattern! I am a bit into sewing (with fabrics), so it's not that different :) Neat!
