Replacing "Exercise" With Work and Play?

So for the longest time growing up I just did physical work and played, and there wasn't really any "exercise" - it was a physical workout, but not lifting weights or like on a treadmill in a gym

I might move furniture around or haul groceries and goods around, or bike back and forth to friends' houses

At some point I tried to get more dedicated about "exercise" and it would lead to crashes, extra stress, wasn't something I liked, etc.

So I was thinking about quitting "exercise" cold turkey for good!

Has anyone else had this kind of insight or transitioned their lives away from "exercise" into some other kind of "activity"?

I've been doing Brazilian jiu jitsu sparing which is pretty fun and a good workout. But it does require various training movements which can be considered exercising but it's a lot less monotonous than something like a treadmil.

I also sometimes play video games while on a treadmill. Beat Elden ring while walking.
