Personally, I might increase the sharpness/contrast around the pole and bird so it pops a bit more, but that could also be Internet compression or just personal taste.
you're right on that. Already pulled the pole and bird quite a bit out of the mist with dehaze in darktable but when I tried to make it "pop" even more it started to feel unnatural/just didnt look good anymore. But that was also my personal pain point with the image; if they'd be tacksharp and have good contrast it would take the quality of that shot up quite a notch :)

Makes sense. It's still a wonderful image and the haze fits the atmosphere of the scene. If it was too sharp the photo would become unnatural.
